Friday 5/29

It has been awhile since I have blogged. I have a big project that I am doing as I wrote before. I am not even 1/2 way through with the cards yet. I do have all the closets emptied of things I don't want/need anymore. I will have a tag sale with a couple neighbors I finally got caught up on all the laundry and I will take Paul's clothes to a consignment shop if I can't sell them at the tag sale. I am keeping up with my walks on days that don't rain. Those days seem to be few ad far between. I do get steps in the house, and I use my stepper. My Mom also gave me a peddle that sits on the floor or table. I think she has thought twice about that as she asked me if I am using it and if not to bring it back. Once I can go back to the gym, I will bring it back to her.

Mom is doing fine and has not gotten sick. I am truly thankful for that. Bonnie downstairs her brother is ill with it and Gary's Dad is in the hospital. The Dr. told him he doesn't think it looks good, but don't give up. I really hurt for him, I know what it is to lose a parent. No one can go and see him either, so he is all alone. That's sad.

The restaurants opened up on 5/20 for outdoor dining only. So far the cases of COVID 19 are staying pretty stable. I don't think the gyms will be open before September, which is a bummer. Our school kids aren't going back to school until at least September, or maybe even 2021.

It looks like I may have to move. My landlord is being a real a...hole and I can't take much more. He tells you one thing and then 3 months down the road changes his mind. I would say he is losing it but he is probably in his early 40's if that. I really don't want to move, I hate moving, but it may be necessary.

Paul is doing fine. I talked to him yesterday. Where he is, it was COVID 19 free and they stopped new inmates from going there and put a lock down on transfers. Well, some idiot transferred 3 inmates in from another prison and now 86 men are sick, 14 are hospitalized and 3 have died/ They are testing everyone and Paul was negative. They are now off complete lockdown and are allowed 1 hour rec in the morning and 1.5 hours later. It is staggered so everyone isn't out at the same time. They were going stir crazy and there were riots, but not where Paul is.

I am now 6 pounds away from my goal weight again. It was much harder this time to lose about 50 pounds than it was to lose the initial 132. Sometimes in the evening I have a hard time with not snacking.

I hope everyone is doing good and staying safe but sane. Is anyone going on vacation this year?

    Hi Bonnie.............
What a new reality we are all faced with................I am so glad to hear that your Mom is well and also that Paul tested negative. My 96 year old Mom is doing well too and hopefully the Assisted Living Facility she lives in will keep up their strict rulings. She cannot leave except for appointments and then has to Quarantine in her room for 3 days. This means that we can only see her through her patio door and talk to her on the phone, but her safety is what is important, so we encourage what the facility is doing.

I am sorry to hear about Gary's Dad and your neighbor, Bonnie's brother. My best friend had surgery yesterday and none of her family could be with her. Luckily it was a day-surgery, so she was home in the evening. At a time when you need support it is difficult NOT to have it, but safety is of the utmost concern.

Congrats on being 6# away from your goal. You must be so proud. emoticon

Bonnie, I'm glad Paul is doing well. I thought of him when I started hearing all the news coverage about outbreaks in prisons. So happy to hear your Mom is staying well, too. I'm sorry to hear about Gary's Dad. I hope things turn around for him and he recovers. *Sounds like you're been super-productive and Congratulations on your weight loss!! Well done!!!

We're not going on vacation this year. I keep getting emails from rental companies at the coast, but I just don't think it's safe and lots of things are still closed at the beach, anyway.

    Take care and be well.

I'm glad you are all safe. We are too. No going much of anywhere for us, we won't take the chance on it. You can get that goal weight back! :) You are doing great! I'm so sorry the virus is there for so many close to you. :( I'm glad Paul is okay and I hope it stays that way.

    HUGS!

So sorry to hear about your neighbor’s brother and Gary’s Dad being ill. Yes, it is a total horrible thing to be in hospital and not be able to have any visitors. **SIGH** Not good.

Sorry to hear about the Covid situation @ Paul’s facility. **SIGH** I hope they fired the one responsible for bringing in 3 new people from another facility. GAH But glad Paul is all right.

Glad you’re six lbs. away from your goal weight!

    No vacation here.
