What do you think?

The first estimate for chain link was a whopping $15k for my acre lot. OY! emoticon

Then when I picked my face back up off the floor, I went looking for the dimensions for a gate and I found a Vinyl White Picket Fence at Lowe's and got back in touch with my contractor and I'm getting a Vinyl White Picket Fence!
I'm not Tom Sawyer and I'm not painting or staining my fence every year.
I feel like I'm moving to Mayberry RFD, lol. emoticon emoticon emoticon

The contractor sent this when I inquired about Vinyl:
Usually by order of cost:

Chain link
Vinyl coated chain link
Wood treated pine (cedar & redwood add cost)
Custom wood fence builds in pine (cedar & redwood add cost)
Vinyl and also composite fence
Wrought Iron (there are different quality grades)

NO, that's NOT my house, heheheheh.

My dad put up a wooden white picket fence in front of our house when we first moved to Mississippi when I was 14. He made it MY job to paint it every year!

I think that will be wonderful. We had a wood fence @ the house I grew up in and it required yearly maintenance! LOTS of it. The 1st house DH and I bought had a chain link fence. REquired upkeep, too. Not as much as the wood fence, though.

I think it will look nice!
