My bone doc gave me meds that helped calm down my excruciating back pain immensely ..... to the point where I have actually been improving every day now over the last three days in particular. He gave me a steroid pack that lasted 7 days where you progressively diminish the amount of medicine you take from day to day to day. It really did the trick.
I had consult with doc today about my MRI. NO SURGERY needed. Boy am I relieved about that and no injections either. He just wants me to do 4 weeks of therapy, one day a week. They want to see what I've been doing for my exercises and make sure that I might not be irritating my condition with any of them. I understand how that can be a possibility being that I found all of my workouts myself. Still no yoga yet and I really miss it but it'll be back in my day's agenda soon enough. What was found on the MRI? Well it is definitely a pinched nerve and it's right in the area where my last vertebrae had moved inward many years ago and the back half of that last bone is resting on the front half of all the rest of my spine bones. I was worried that this may have shifted further which was what was causing this unbearable pain i but, luckily, it has not moved. But what it has been doing is pinching that nerve that runs between the two vertebraes. The condition kinda squashed the nerve located there which is what is causing the excruciating pain. So I'm going to continue my simple "waist-down" exercises here on daily basis and will see what the physical therapist says. I want to get back to my gym and my personal trainer as well.
So am very optimistic and looking forward to the day I can get back to a normal life. :)
