And....done. 100 miles to Auburn finished today

I finished the 100 mile challenge that I was participating in this morning, along with the help of a friend. Leslie has joined me the past few days for my walks so I could finish up. She's doing a SIP challenge with a run a month. Last month was a 5k, this month was 6 miles which she did today, next month is a 10 miler. It was nice to have company. We have gotten out there between 7-7:15 as it's been hot here.

Today we met at the fish hatchery which is near my house. It's a busy place since there is trail access and free parking so you need to get there soon after they open (7 a.m.) so you can park. That section of the trail is pretty shaded; I haven't been there in awhile so it was nice to benefit from that today. And I was glad to be done!

And, it was nice to have this challenge so I'm thinking that another one of some sort would be good for me. I've been trying to work on the other side of things, my food challenges, with the help of a therapist. This area of my life is one that is really challenging for me to tackle. It helps to have someone you can process with. Lots of times, I don't think I know what to say or how to move forward but usually I can get some insights during the session. I also like that it is all online now!

I haven't done much since that finish earlier today. Yesterday I went to the store after the walk, then to the library to pick up a DVD that I had requested (yay for that now) and then to the gym to freeze my husband's membership for two months. I was not really comfortable or impressed with the changes they've put in place. The gym is one of the worst places you can be to catch this, and the only reason I'm keeping my membership is to be able to swim. I was irritated that NOW they are allowing pool lane reservations for up to 48 hours in advance, when the pool re-opened, it was same day. The change was never communicated. They also have two different apps, and they have at different times told us to use different ones. Neither are very functional. So that experience and seeing guys in the main weight area NOT wearing masks got me worked up. I'd go somewhere else but other places to swim are more expensive or not open.

So there's my COVID complaint for the day. I've added a few pics from this week's walk. have a good Friday!

    I, too, hate seeing so many that won't wear a mask....I guess like bad drivers, they cause a problem & we suffer or are killed. Great finishing....on to the next challenge.

    Nice pics, and condolences on the Covid complaint of the day. I dropped my gym membership last year, stopped going to the trainer in March, quit doing the trail walks in April... gradually pulling my borders in. Being careful, but you know... you're dealing with it, too.
