Today's Big Adventure

Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Today, for the first time in the four years I have lived here, I'm going swimming in the lake outside my backdoor. Usually, in the summer at this point the lake is quite green, but because we had a cooler June, there's not as much green stuff in it. So, I am off to swim off the end of the dock. I do not have to worry about drownding though, because when I told my neighbor's I was going to go swimming in the lake, each one said they were going to come out and watch to make sure I didn't drown. I'll let you know if I make it out of the lake safely. Have a great day.

I so envy you living on the water! Something I always hoped to do. I have a lake here I can drive to in 15/20 minutes, right off the Appalachian Trail in a small state park, and other than my house that's pretty much where I've been spending all my time since everything closed up. Not swimming, just hiking around and near it. But I do love being near some water.

emoticon I think if I lived there I would be in the water everyday. What a super gorgeous view you have and a beautiful backyard. I don't think I would want to be much in my house if I had a backyard like yours. Where is this at if you don't mind me asking.
