I can't get no....satisfaction..
... in the weather

Wednesday, July 01, 2020

Yesterday was a combination of sun, breeze, sudden downpour and more sun. All with a temperature perfect for sitting in my sunroom.
Why no satisfaction? The distant rumble of thunder.
I'm smart enough

to know I shouldn't be out in thunder!
The sun was pouring in over my right shoulder while looking out the windows on my left revealed a sky blanketed by deep gray clouds. Not the kind of sky I like as I can't run home on my walks!
My pool was off limits, too!
So I ate right, celebrated my scale reading from the morning (213) and recovered from some pre-operative testing that was, for lack of better words, uncomfortably indelicate!

Getting older definitely isn't for wimps.

Today I'm back to my usual self, resigned to the fact today is a more ominous repeat of yesterday minus the testing and I'm going to grout the floor tile now that it's set. Hooray, another chore done.

Tomorrow I'll complain about my knees!

You are spot on with your description of the unpredictable nature of pop up showers due to summer heat, humidity, fronts... etc. Watched the local 6 o'clock news reporters standing under their umbrellas in the rain and was puzzled because I was looking at mainly blue, sunny skies!!! emoticon

I took my grand-dogs for a slow leisurely stroll last night while Z was taking his accounting quiz, which didn't seem to aggravate my knee too badly. I daresay it's getting a little better!

One good thing about these iffy weather forecast days is it gets me out for my walk earlier!
I’ve been listening to a Beatles playlist on my walk, with plenty of The Rolling Stones...keeps me moving along nicely. It’s funny to hear those lyrics as an older adult and realize a lot of was sure about a Sex, drugs and rock and roll!

emoticon Now I can't get THAT song out of my head! Thanks.

Seriously? Never... the other image that comes to mind is Snoopy the jogger, and his rotating body parts complaining. Yep... getting older gives us insights into humor that being in our teens never offered!

emoticon Good luck with the grout! (That "r" in the word is important!) emoticon

Getting older isn’t for wimps, at all! A sense of humor, a heavy dose of reality, and utilizing the wisdom earned while living certainly helps...minimizes some of the angst. Ha. Complain away about your knee, it’s gonna be waaaaaay happier with those digits on the scale in a downward trend. Ask me how I know...hahaha. Bionic ones also bark at their owner, smart chicas listen to them. Gaining muscle to support and losing extra poundage for the WIN!

Jump in your pool for me today, for allllllllllllllll of us...sounds like delightful. FuN!
    Be well...

Same crummy weather here. Pop-up thunderstorms and heat. Ugh.

Got a few things done yesterday but wilted in the evening. I see wilting in my future too. Maybe even some vapors.
