More Spice Is Nice!

Saturday, August 01, 2020

Since I am sensitive to salt, I have been looking for ways to make my food taste good without the salt. Since I have found spices, I don't even miss the salt, even a little. Also, another benefit, is hubby even likes the new changes and he is a salt addict.

This is an amazing spice - cinnamon. I like to use it on my oatmeal and in smoothies. Time is also proving this spice is very good for your health too.

May lower blood sugar (good for Type 2 diabetes), LDL (bad cholesterol), and inflammation. Could help with Alzheimer and Parkinson symptoms too. More and more studies are proving these claims.

However, be careful when taking supplements for a specific spice. You would be getting a much larger dose of the spice than just adding it to your food. Always check with your doctor before taking spice supplements. Can have side effects and interfere with some meds.

Excellent reminder. Too much of anything is never good. I am a lemon user... even on meats which we rarely eat these days, but especially on salads.
