I use turmeric spice in a lot of my cooking. It goes well with meat and chicken. Always add a little black pepper also when using this spice. The black pepper helps you to absorb the turmeric spice.
Health benefits for this spice may include: Helps control inflammation; reduces pain in arthritis, help with heart disease and IBS.
May cause a stain on clothing and or area it comes into contact with. This is where mustard gets its yellow coloring. Mustard contains turmeric.
Try it, you may like it.
However, always be careful about taking any spice in a supplement form as this concentration of the spice is much greater this way. You may develop side affects when taking it this way and some may be very harmful. Always check with your doctor before taking a spice in supplement form - it may also react with certain meds you are taking.
