Metric Century Today (62+ Mile Bike Ride)
Sunday, August 30, 2020
Here in Minnesota it's been hot and humid in recent days, but yesterday that weather pattern broke and it's just about perfect outside. So, today I'm planning to head out around 10 a.m. and complete a "metric century" on my bike, that is, a 100 kilometer ride which is about 62 miles. But just to make sure that my bike computer doesn't adjust my ride below that threshold, I will ride closer to 63-65 miles depending on where I end up going.
Usually when I take a longer ride I know exactly where I'm going and about how long it's going to take me, but today I feel like following the wind of my heart and going where it leads. So, I'm going to head first to a city called Anoka, and then we'll see where I go from there. Here's a pic from a ride I took in that area sometime last year, hope you all have a great day!
