Metric Century - A Quick Report

Today is a beautiful day in the Twin Cities, Minnesota! So I set out for a Metric Century (about 62 miles), and aimed to complete two sets of a workout I call "Strength Pyramids." After a 10-minute warm up, you shift into the biggest gear at which you can hold a cadence of 60-70 rpm in equal periods of effort and recovery of 1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2-1-minutes. I completed one set on the first half of the ride, took a break around the 33 mile point, and then set out to complete another set. I took one more break around the 55 mile point, and then finished out the last 8 or so miles. It was a great ride on a beautiful day, and I'm so thankful to the Lord for the privilege of being able to be out on the road! Here are a few pics...
