Back in April, I found a 3 to 4-week old kitten on my way home from work. I had planned on finding a foster for it, as I am not really a cat person, and I am mildly allergic to cats. My parents, with whom I live, are not crazy about cats, either. I had her tucked into my hoody, both for warmth and to keep her hidden from the bus driver, and I took a selfie and posted on face book. My sister saw the post and said she had been waiting for a cat or kitten to show up because my late niece had been asking for one. I knew then that I couldn’t give the little one away. My sister told me to name it Rosey if it was a girl, and Raul if it was a boy. We have Rosey. She is now about 4 months old, and has wormed her way into even my Mother’s Kitty disliking heart. She likes to sleep with my dad, and only my dad.
Today my sister texted me the following picture and said “I think we have Raul.”
We both believe that our Angel in heaven sent them our way, to help us over the pain and sadness of her sudden departure. I love how the look like they could be true siblings, even though one is here in Hawaii with me, while the other is in Utah with my sister.
