A Goal I Dream About

I have a dream. I want to kayak all around the world. Right now, I can't. I don't fit well in them with being nearly 300 lbs. My brother and his family have started kayaking as a family, and I would love to join them someday.

I'm also job searching, and one area I'm looking is the PNC, where this type of activity could almost become year round. I want to participate in life by seeing what God has created by being active in it, and kayaking is my first choice at the moment.

    Yesterday I saw a news report of a woman (Lia Ditton), who rowed her boat SOLO from San Francisco to Honolulu and broke the women's world record in the process. She capsized twice and took about 3 months to complete her trip. She took it day by day, focused on the present and set daily goals to get to the finish line. Next she plans to row from Japan to San Fran which will take about 6 months. Anything's possible if we work hard for it. emoticon
