The Skies Opened Up...Midway Through My Walk
Wednesday, September 30, 2020
I walked next door to pick up our mail this afternoon and as it was so nice, I decided to continue on my walk. I dropped the mail off at the house along with my hoodie and continued with my walk. I just reached the furthest part of our back fifty when the sky turned black, the thunder roared and the rain came down. The wind was blowing the rain right into my face and the temperature plummeted (sure would have been nice to have that hoodie)! If nothing else, my Fitbit should have recorded that I was really picked up my pace as I hurried through pure mud ....resistance training? I was soaked right through by the time I got home. The lovely new hairdo that I got yesterday was flattened.... I felt the need for some comfort food so I made a shepherd's pie for supper and it was so good & within my calorie count but my hubby went back for seconds (balm for my ego). I am finding it easier to watch what I eat now that I track my food. And I am waiting anxiously for the next pound to be gone.....
