Driver's License Renewal Tip

Wednesday, October 14, 2020

My driver's license was set to expire May19th and due to COVID-19, had to scheduled an appointment. The earliest date was October 13th! Couldn't believe the line wrapped around the side of the building to the front, and was pretty dejected, because I had an 8:30 appointment. And I didn't dress for standing outside in the chilly morning air. And could've used another cup of coffee. Luckily, an employee came out asking if anyone had an appointment, so I got to move closer to the front of the line. If you have an appointment, you may want to schedule yours for later in the afternoon, because many people getting their driver's permit or for other reasons, think getting there early is best. At one point, quite a few people without appointments were turned away because the DMV was booked for the rest of the day. My total wait from start to finish was one hour. Not too bad, but I've heard of others being four hours or more.
