Ask, Seek, Knock. 2 Timothy 2:11-13. October 21 2020
‘If we are faithless, He remains faithful: He cannot deny Himself.”
2 Timothy 2:13
\Yesterday we talked about how prayer honours God. Today we will look at how prayer makes us grow. As we pray we become aware of what God is doing in the world. We can pray at anytime and anyplace for anyone in this world, and be assured that that the Lord will hear and respond to those prayers. As we do we grow in our relationship with Him.
Prayer is one of the best ways to get involved with God’s Mission for this world. We have a wonderful and awesome privilege to participate in the expansion of God’s Kingdom. Through prayer we can ask that the Holy Spirit will make a huge impact in the lives of the nations of the world.
God’s acrostic in Scripture is A S K.:
A Ask and you will receive answers from God
S. Seek and you will find Him.
K. Knock and the door will be open to you.
ASK, Seek and Knock in prayer.
Prayer also builds our faith. As we learn His Word, practice His presence, and stay close to Him, he builds our faith. His thoughts become our thoughts. He loves to answer our prayers and watch us become bolder in our faith, in our walk, and in our witness.
God’s Word tells us that He is faithful because He cannot deny Himself. 2 Timothy 2:13. As we set aside time each day to talk to Him, we will learn that truth firsthand. Persevere in Prayer. You will be glad that you did.
