God’s Forgiveness. Hebrews 10:29-31. Oct 25 2020

“For we know Him that said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” says the Lord. And again. “The Lord will judge His people.” Hebrews 10:30.

Are you having trouble to truly forgive someone? Has someone hurt you so bad that you feel its impossible to forgive? Why do you think that is true? Could it be that we don’t fully understand and comprehend the depth of God’s forgiveness for us?

We all sin every day and most of us ask God to forgive us and then we continue on with our lives. But think about the tremendous sacrifice that Christ made on our behalf. Not only did he die on the cross to Pay for our past sins, but also for our present ones and even for our future ones. That is hard for us to grasp and so we feel often that we need to do something more to pay for our sins. We feel somehow that we need to pay off God and that gives us no freedom to release someone else from what they did to us. It is hard to offer forgiveness, when we ourselves have never fully received it.

We must come to a point that God has paid our sin debt, he did it freely, paid the entire price and offers us forgiveness because of the blood of Christ. When we do than we will stop trying to make others pay for their short comings. We all must make a choice to allow God to deal with others and ourselves. He is just and will judge each one of us. We must just surrender to Him.

So bring your offences to God and leave them at the foot of the cross. By doing this with God’s help you can forgive those who have offended you. Vengeance is not for us, leave that to God.
