Ghosts, Ghoulies, and Two Girls

Friday, October 30, 2020

I think it was the year 1963. I dressed up as Casper the Ghost with the plastic mask and matching outfit and my little three year old sister dressed up as Tweety Bird. It was dusk, and we went down the street to a friend's house to trick or treat.

There it was in his front yard....on the other side of the tree. We didn't see it until we had gotten our candy and turned to go.

A life size Frankenstein! Right there! I let out a blood curdling scream, and ran home 3 houses down, as fast as I could. My poor little sister tripped on something and fell down in our next door neighbor's yard. She was terrified and traumatized.

After all these years we can laugh about it, but that night we were not laughing!

Your story is hilarious!! ... emoticon I laughed out loud! I am glad your little sister can laugh about it now too! ...(Poor little thing!).... Were you supposed to be protecting her? ....Lololo. ..... But speaking of ghosts, when I was a grown up, (?)....somewhat iffy, I covered myself in a sheet and cut out to holes to peek through. Went to a neighbors house, And before she open the door I got down on my knees so I would look like a little kid!! Open the door and I said: "Twick uh tweet." ...(An a little kid voice).... She looked at me and said, "GET UP JAN!!" .... emoticon .... That was the last twik I ever played on anyone LOL! ... emoticon ... emoticon ... emoticon

OH MY! I think in 1963 I went out as a bum! Nothing like what you ever happened in our neighborhood.
    I enjoy reading your reminiscences.
