Flax seed and other finds

I am trying to incorporate ground flaxseed into my diet. I made a great oatmeal this morning with it. I posted it in my plant based foods blog. Number 3 on the list. It is high in fiber and protein. My resources for alternative health foods are somewhat limited in my area, however, you can find ham hocks and boudain year round, lol. I even saw a whole hogs head once, eyeballs and all, in a freezer at one of our local grocery stores. emoticon I did find Bob's Redmill Ground Flaxseed in a local store and Nutritional yeast flakes! I am not a fan of on-line shopping so I was pleased with my find. Aslo, tried plain almond milk yogurt emoticon yucky yucky blech blech. I used it for a greek style dip. I added Vegan Mayo and it brought it up to normal. Have a great day! This is my once-a-month deep cleaning day. Thank goodness I have a teeny tiny home! I also have some knitting to finish.     Try making flaxseed crackers. You can do so with ground flaxseeds or whole. I love these. It gives me something crunchy to eat with all the salad!!

    I love Silk almondmilk plain yogurt! lol I like anything Bob's Red Mill. I use the GF oats.

    Big fan of Bob's Redmill Ground Flaxseed! it's what we use as our Egg Replacement in baking. Oatmeal or meals where I can hide Flax Seeds into has helped me increase my intake also, huge fan of them and Chai seeds and trying to get creative on how to fit them in. Best of luck and Spark on!
