The Big Day

We are all on tenterhooks...what will happen as the votes are counted. We are neighbours in an uneasy relationship with the US. It’s so complicated... family here, some there, plenty of American connections. After all, we spend five months a year in visits south of the border.
I worry. I would say we all worry these days.
My kids (!) are all grown. One working at home for an international company, one laid off since March. Yesterday he got a call from his boss, asking if he is available...What a boon that would be, but not holding my breath but hoping.
Our blustery and damp days are expected to end by tomorrow. Today we will get our essential shopping done, and whatever exercise we can manage...both of us ready for an outdoor session.
Some good news, actually comments from our mayor who has hinted that some outdoor spaces will be fitted up with fire pits, and some trails will be cleared to help us get outdoors this winter.
That cheered me up no end.
