Ended Up with a Bang! and Other Comments

Tuesday, November 17, 2020

* Had blow out on 12th and final trip to St Luke's for hubby's eyes. Still got there in time enough to get the surgery. I drove home, very slowly, on "doughnut" temporary tire because could not find brand of tires in Tarpon Springs that hubby wanted to buy. Four new tires tomorrow.

*Gwen threw up in school yesterday. She has to have quick covid test, and if that's negative, a 3 day covid test before she can go back to school. So I slept in this morning since she didn't need a ride to school. Good thing since I was really tired from yesterday's trip. Gwen's dad isn't worried at all. He says she just ate something didn't agree with her, so I won't worry either.

*Ran-walked Lake Hollingsworth this morning. Hubby walked Casey. It was absolutely beautiful. He still has patch on right eye. Will probably know Thursday how much he'll be able to see. Hard to wait!

* I have been eating pretty good, but could do even better. Will try!!

SO glad you are safe despite the blow out. Only the tire blew out -- not YOU with your remarkable equanimity in the face of all difficulties. Bring-it-on-Marsha!!

I'm betting Gwen will be OK too.

And that your dear hubby is going to be thrilled with the "unveiling" and his improved vision!!

Glad you got through the blow out safe and sound.
Four new tires tomorrow? Same here determined by the annual inspection. How dit we wear out our tires? We haven't hardly driven aware since March!

Hope good news for both Gwen and DH.

Glad you and DH got through the "adventure" of a blow-out. Scary. Also good you got the surgery in before any further "restrictions" on such! Don't know how Florida's doing in that department at present, but Nebraska, not so great. They are once again restricting surgeries here, to allow the hospital space for an increasing load of Covid-19 patients.

Extra prayer for negative test for Gwen, which is still the most likely outcome, I think.

And hope things go very well for your DH, as you begin to see just how well the surgery turned out. Casey walking! Yes!

May today contain MUCH LESS excitement, but I’m so happy for you that each of these stories had a happy ending (I’m going on the premise that Gwen’s dad is correct.)

Blow outs are scary; glad all ended well. So glad your husband's surgery went well, with good results even though you don't know the degree of sight regained.
