Thanksgiving with a Twist
Wednesday, November 25, 2020
I'm thankful for my family being resilient when things aren't going as planned. For the first time since our children were born (both adults with teen and pre-teen children now) we will not spend Thanksgiving together due to COVID-19. Our son has been exposed twice within the last two weeks, and even before that, we all chose to have Thanksgiving at our own homes this year to play it safe. We got creative though, and met up with masks, social distanced, (except for the quick side hugs to the grandkids.....sorry---couldn't help it) and exchanged a few signature dishes today. Trust me, it was quick, and we were on our way, but we got to see most of our family and I'm so thankful we have one another to love and cherish. We'll be "face-time-giving" tomorrow and wish all of you a happy Thanksgiving Day!
