Goodbye, November!

Sunday, November 29, 2020

hmmm....have returned to Spark and hoping to stay this time! burned out hard and took awhile to come back from that and return to responsible adulting.

turns out my kid was w-a-a-a-a-a-y behind in school. assignments done, but never turned in. and no rhyme or reason to where assignments were written or stored. no dates or titles. clustermash of epic-ness. took a few weeks to get him all caught up and organized and now i know that virtual school for him is gonna take a lot more attention from me than i thought it would. as in, i'm pretty much glued to a chair 2ft away from him all. day. long.

all the stress and ramped up anxiety from the virtual school monitoring, getting the kid caught up, pandemic, holidays - finally took its toll and i had a breakdown at work because my little Aspie soul couldn't deal with people not following the rules. i quit (but still work there because my life is strange). i'm sort of a reserve employee who also does our "online marketing" [our Facebook page].

so that's sort of the not-so-great stuff. positive things: my kid is caught up in school and at teacher's conferences, found out he's doing great! feeling a lot less stressed now that i'm not at work and don't have to deal with people. my boss and co-workers are awesome people who have my back. i have returned to Spark and husband is here now as well. hopefully we can keep each other encouraged to stick it out!

cool. so that's where i'm at!

emoticon You were missed but, I totally understand. It sounds like things are settling into something that is manageable. I am so glad the kid is caught up and soaring. Now it's your turn. emoticon emoticon emoticon

There is something wildly unfair about how the universe is structured that you burn the same amount of calories sitting in a chair watching daytime television as you do sitting in a chair making sure your kid is receiving a proper education.
