unusual times

Monday, December 07, 2020

spent the weekend baking turkeys (they're cheap right now and we have a large freezer), insulating doors and windows and putting up a few decorations. getting together with my in-laws (only) on the 20th, instead of the larger gathering on the 25th. won't be seeing my side of the family until January.

trying hard to stay upbeat and positive while CoVid numbers in our area are spiking. exhausted friends working in healthcare, telling their stories. crying for their patients and patients' families, and then getting up and doing it all again. trying to find some things to do to help, other than masking up and staying home as much as possible.

in a bit of a rut, but will keep moving forward, even if it's slowly. hope everyone out there is staying safe and having a good week!

My freezer is tiny or I'd be doing the same thing! I love leftover turkey and didn't get any this year. COVID sucks... But doing what we can to move forward is all we can do!

emoticon It is all we can do! I don't think I can look at another turkey right now. Keep moving and staying as positive! Cheers to crushing December goals!!
