ooook then. woke up Tuesday morning and my back was on strike. it went a bit like this:
holy crap, i'm not sure i can get out of bed...yay, i'm sort of mobile! can't believe we actually made it down the stairs -yay! why are you doing this to me? ouch ouch ouch, can't stand, can't sit. slowly contort my way to the floor and lay down. this is where we live now. we are never moving from this spot. aw, bladder, no. let's play normal person today and not go to the bathroom a dozen times. that could be fun, yeah? no, i thought not.
my husband brought the crutches up from the basement and i managed to contort my way to the couch, where i spent the next two days, except for a billion bathroom trips. small improvements every day (being able to stand long enough to shower was AMAZING). today i can actually sit in a chair for awhile -yay! learning what is and is not acceptable movement. heat packs. kind of frustrated because there are things i need/want to be doing, but cheered by progress. incremental, but steady. i believe soon i will unlock the achievement of standing up straight.
i also have not had caffeine since Monday. sweet, sweet caffeination; i miss you.
