Busier than ever.....

Monday, December 14, 2020

Well, another day turns into another week, month and so on. I have never been so busy before than now. Don't know what has come over people but everyone we deal with is impatient, rude and just simply demanding. Hubby and I think it is the sign of the times. This virus and everyone's nerves are on edge. Lately they take it out on me and I have not been having any part of it. We are at a point that if someone calls and it is a crazy case I just say we are out from Christmas until the New Year and can't devote any time to their case. I remember the old days when we would take everything in because we were just starting out. It feels great to pick what we want to work on and who we want as clients.

My boys are very busy. Justin is busy with his Junior year in College on-line. Spring semester will also be on-line. He also got an Intern Job at a company inspecting foundations. He is going to check the integrity and strength of the concrete. I found that interesting because I am a carpenter's daughter and I know my Dad is up there smiling down on him!!

Danny is staying at a Lighthouse in Michigan as a lighthouse keeper. I talked to him last night and he enjoys it. He does chores and keeps busy during the day and then at night they are free to explore the area. He is scheduled to come home on Thursday but I told him to watch the weather. We are supposed to get 12-18" of snow on Wednesday. Shovels and all that good stuff is ready. Boy I can't wait. My ST in my horizon!!

If you want to join us during the 2021 Winter 5% Challenge please join. This team is a great way to stay busy and hopefully make your goals a reality. A new year is around the corner. I pray 2021 is better than this year!!!

Hope this finds you well and that you are staying safe.

Thatvis absolutely awesome tgat your son is a lighthouse keeper! That was actually on my long list of possible careers I wanted to pursue. They say not many can take the isolation, but look at us today--all being forced into isolation. :-(

I am glad you can pick and choose.I only get to deal with people on the phone (I have an immune disorder and am locked down) and I called Michael's to get the girl to put something away so my husband could pick it up but I started by asking how she was and if it was stressful being on the frontline and she teared up and said I was the first customer to ask after her since it started. She said she recognized my voice and wasn't surprised I had asked her just shocked anyone had. That is sad. I know I live in a big city but I recognized her too she has been there a couple of years and can't be more than 21 She is also super helpful.I don't get why people are rude to people doing their job and trying to help you!

THANKFULLY Moni, many in Maine though clearly STRESSED OUT are also being very kind, well the ones I see at work. Tonight a customer (it was quick check and I had a customer 2 before him who was having a horrible time with her card, we had to reboot the system, so it took 6 mins and he choose to wait.) So I was doing as I am allowed an item for FREE as long it's under $5.00. I did one to him also. As I told him goodbye he said "It's so nice to have someone who's as delightful as you are here." Well it's a GREAT PLACE to work!! So why wouldn't I be?

SADLY when some get frustrated they become bitter. It surely does NOT improve their life. HOW COOL that now you all get to pick and choose who take on as clients. Hence the PLAY NICE to those you talk to and they play NICELY back!! To bad more do not live by that!!

COOL on the kids also doing well. WOW Danny must LOVE THAT job!! HOW COOL is that??!! A LIGHTHOUSE!!! So may of us would LOVE THAT!! And yes, no doubt if at all possible your Dad would clearly be happy to see how well Justin is also doing!!

PLEASE??!!! PLEASE???!!!! PLLLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEE???? So far they are saying maybe 1 to 3.

I have noticed some crabbier people on the phones too. I think a lot are tired and over all this pandemic stuff.
