Whats new and Thanks and blessing to everyone!

Wednesday, December 16, 2020

I am gong to have Total knee replacement done on my right knee in January. I will be with my 87 year old mom for I hope only about a week as she has no stairs and i do getting onto the house and getting up to my bedroom. It is time, I went through the series of jell shots for about 2 years while I was working, as i will be fully retired come end of the year a good time to do it as I want to be in my garden come spring and summer. i will do the second knee either in the fall or next year same time.It will be a little weird not really having to get up and go to work but I have been enjoying the semi retirement I am in now

I lost my cat the day after Thanksgiving, Taz wasn't doing very well the day of but my son and mom were here and I did hold him a lot that day. Taz was a 24 year old Siamese cat, had him sine he was about 6 weeks old. here he is fat and healthy. here he is the day before not doing real well sitting at my feet at the desk as that is where he always wanted to be I miss him. i sometimes still see him walking toward the kitchen out of the corner of my eye. i want to get another cat soon.

The back yard is becoming quite the pet cemetery of dogs and cats over the years. my mom even buried her cat in my yard. don't understand why, but he is.

This year has certainly been one for the history books! I can only imagine what a lot of family's are going through this year, what with being out of work or furloughed. I makes me angry that the politicians have done this to their citizens while they themselves do not follow their own orders. People are being denied the right to go to church or be with loved ones while they are in nursing homes or hospitals, it breaks my heart to see so much suffering while they are so isolated.

There are also a lot of heart warming stories of strangers gifting money to family's in need or paying bills off. I wish I were more of the gifting money to those in need, but I am VERY GRATEFUL that I have a pension and health care that i don't have to worry to much about it. i help out when I can as i can.

My Mom is going through a second round of breast cancer in the lining of her lung, of all places! She is a trooper, the doctors are treating it will pills and she is tolerating it pretty well. She is a blessing to me also she is 87 and willing to care for ME as I recover from the knee surgery!

Josh, my prodigal son has a job and he seems to finally be catching a break. Thank you LORD for that blessing.

I also was gifted with my first granddaughter this past Oct. so God has been very good to me this past year

To all my Spark friends I wish blessings on you this Christmas season! Whatever you are struggling with I ask God to intervene and answer your most pressing need, and may you experience profound peace in the final outcome.

May God bless each and everyone of you this Christmas season. Thank you for being part of my "family" here on Spark each of you are appreciated.

    Hey, Chris!
There IS life after TKR. I had a left total knee replacement in October and am doing well so far. Recovery is pretty painful early on, but gradually things do get better. You will be gardening come spring; just make sure you have good quality knee pads for gardening when on your knees.
Praying for you and wishing you the best!

My friend, you certainly have been going through it! 2020 has been a very strange year, but I am so blessed to be living in Florida. We've not been under any lockdowns or restrictions for months now and for that I'm so grateful. I'm sure you know my thoughts on this "pandemic."

Taz was to you as my Dweezle was to me. We miss them so, but know that they are always with us! By all means, honor him by adopting another cat. It's what we are meant to do! emoticon

You are so blessed to have your mother with you - Bless her heart! She must be a very strong woman! Know I'll be saying prayers for her and for your upcoming knee replacement.

Congratulations on the beautiful grandaughter! What a wonderful gift from God!

Whatever happens in this New Year, let us know that God has his hand on us. We just need to live our lives the best way we can, and know that we are blessed everyday. emoticon

I agree with you 100% about what those who rule over us have done to us. I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved cat. I've never heard of one making it to 24 before! It sounds like you gave him a wonderful life. Hope both you and your mom clear the medical hurdles you're currently facing with flying colors. And that sweet, beautiful baby- what a bright spot in the year! Congratulations!

I couldn't agree with you more about the mess the politicians have made of things and am praying with you for a better year coming. Best wishes on your knee replacement. Isn't it a marvel what can be done for us these days? Not so many years ago, people our age were simply doomed to live in pain and immobility. What a mixed bag of emotions--the loss of your aged feline friend and the blessing of a granddaughter!

But you have an amazing new granddaughter.
I hope you dear mum comes through her treatment well and wish you all the very best for January.
Please, the powers above, have a better year in store for us all next year,.

Can't even get started on my feelings about 2020, but just pray 2021 is a better year.
