Day 3315- A Year of Maintenance?

I weigh in every morning. Some people say that it's too obsessive. But it's what worked for me in the past, so I'm doing it again. And I'm using my bluetooth scale which connects to an app on my phone so I can see the daily changes.

So on 12/20 I weighed in at 275.0

This morning I weighed in at 266.4.

Almost 9 pounds in 10 days.

Yes, I know this is mostly water weight. And I know that my weight loss won't continue at this pace.

But it did give me a flashback to my first journey when I lost the first 30 pounds in the first 50 days. It would be so cool to be in the 240s come February. If it doesn't happen that will be okay too, but I am making that a goal. I want to see the 240s sometime in February.

When my app finally connected with my scale this morning, it brought up my history and the last time it had synced was November 2019 when I was 265.

Considering the dumpster fire of a year 2020 has been, basically maintaining throughout the year is a victory for me.

It was absolutely possible for me to get back up to 290 like I was in August of 2019. But I didn't.

Maintaining in the 260s wasn't my goal for 2020. But right now, I'm willing to take it as a win.

I haven't even seen the 250s since 2018 and I'm less than 7 pounds away now. So I know I can see the 250s in January.

These small goals are really encouraging to me. And even though some days my morning weigh-in goes up, seeing the overall downward trends is really encouraging.

I made turkey chili yesterday and tried my first recipe for chicken nuggets in the air fryer and they turned out great! Even Henry approves!

I've blogged three days in a row. It feels good to be back.
