Do you have a plan?

Everyday we get up, thank goodness for that, LOL! We have a routine, as many of us do, have our morning pills, coffee, breakfast, and check our mail, I read my SP mail, and then say my morning prayers, which is my form of meditation as well. Next, we plan, depending on weather conditions, and "how we are moving that day" but we do plan. When the holidays were upon us, we had numerous things to do, but once they are over, we take down the decorations and start anew.

Starting Anew!!!!! That is what I am trying to focus on. Not New Year's resolutions, no, not for me, but what Can I Do, to make me better!!! The old comment, "If you can do something for 3 weeks, 21 days, EVERYDAY, making it a part of your everyday living, it can be changed!" Something I learned when I first started SparkPeople is to be CONSISTANT! If we need to Tweak it, that is okay, but make Small Steps, Everyday work on Those, and keep moving forward!

Fast forward to today, I still keep those same "plans" and tweak them as needed. I have been on a plateau for the longest time. But I have changed my body! WooHoo!!! February 2020, I weighed 214, and at 4'11" that is chunky to say the least, but my bone structure, my core, these are good! Today, 11 months later, my weight is 203-204! Not a big weight loss, but I am happy with it! I look, feel, and move, so much better! This is what we need to do, not look at the scale and "UGH, I need to....." we need to embrace what we have DONE, learn to love ourselves, and again, just tweak, and keep making those small changes "We Can Keep Doing!"

So, what do you "like about yourselves, start with the Positive!"

    Great message---And like you, No resolutions but I have given a great deal of thought to the old renovation of this body---LOL ........ Today I got my cup of coffee---and with some refreshing thoughts for change, I did NOT sit down. I do some weight bearing exercises---for at least 30 minutes---then swing into gear tackling the house---I call it my "house-er-cize" .. moving swiftly and dancing around the bed---racking up a lot of time. I wanted to prove to myself---"the more you do---the more you CAN do." .... Then got lots of walking in after that. Working on getting away from the "retirement syndrome" of sitting---and moving more. I know it is feasible---because prior to retirement i was in a job---on my feet and running up steep flights of stairs---staying in the best shape---so why not now is what i am asking of myself---(maybe not quite that vigorous---but i bet you get the drift) .... Best wishes to you my friend! ..

    EXCELLENT! I am 4'10.5 " so I totally appreciate that at that height, there is NO room to hide any junk in the trunk ANYWHERE!
