Amazing how much better I feel after a day away from the news.
And a day gently guiding myself back to healthier habits.
I think one of the reasons exercise - cardio - is job number one each day is because most activities I enjoy are sedentary pursuits. I’ve got 2 books I’m reading on the table next to me (Survival of the Sickest, and You’ll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey), and while walking today I toyed with the idea of starting a huge crochet project. It’s been decades since I’ve crocheted, and I never could keep gauge, AND I don’t need to add more sedentary activities to my life, so I’ll allow that fantasy to be just that, for now.
My Valentines Day jigsaw puzzle is at the ready. I’m holding my horses and I’ve told myself I will not begin to assemble it until February first.
I need to find a way to get myself to do my strength training. I was so proud last Sunday when I did all four of my things: shoulders, sit-ups, wall push-ups (or plank dips ;) ), and clamshells. I haven’t done any of them since. Hmmm.
I got four miles walking today and I hope to be able to share the next badge with all y’all soon.
