Why I started using Spark People

I first heard about SP from a coworker but even though I joined back then I wasn't consistent and not really connected with any of the groups so I wasn't "successful". When I picked it back up a couple years later I had regained all my weight plus some and I had gotten married and he likes comfort food and works from home so we both gained some more. When I quit work to be the primary caregiver to my daughter I took over the grocery shopping and meal planning and we joined the gym and we all lost weight. Then I plateued-- if that is what I can call it-- for two years. Time to join a team and get motivated and it worked! Staying connected and completing the challenges and reading all the info here I started losing weight and I've kept it off for 3+ years. So I will stay connected because I know it is key to keeping it off this time.
