Doctor's visit

Today I went to the doctor about my vertigo episode on Friday. Even though the episode only lasted a few hours, and nothing similar has happened since, I wanted to know if the doctor could find any reason why it should have happened. I also got to show him the two huge bruises on my upper arm from the fall. I still have no idea what I hit on the way down that caused the bruises...maybe just the side of the dresser.

As far as getting any answers, it wasn't a very satisfactory visit, although the PA I saw was very nice. His best explanation was fluid in my ears, although he didn't find any evidence of a problem when he looked in my ears. He offered me a prescription to take if and when I have another episode, and he also offered to refer me to an ENT doctor. I said I would take him up on the referral if I do have another episode. For now, I am feeling fine, no dizziness or balance problems, and I am hoping it was a one off. If it does happen again, well, then I will reassess.
