Well the DR called on Tuesday and I saw the physical therapist yesterday. The good news-no degradation from previous MRI. The bad news no degradation from the previous MRI. DR is consulting with the DRs that give the spinal shots to see if there is another place beside the L3/L4 to inject since the arthritis prevents them from getting a shot in there. I tried one in L5/L6 and it provided relief for maybe 24 hours. PT guy who I trust, says I am doing all the right things trying to exercise for flexibility and strength as well as trying to open the compression in L3/L4 . So I march on. Dosage of Celebrex upped to 200mg twice a day. Not seeing any magic relief. I guess I am marching down the path or climbing up the ladder towards back surgery. Discouraging in many respects.
Today: lunch and bridge for the first time in a year with friends-we have all been vaccinated. It is his birthday so Shrimp, elk steak, carrots, potatoes, and Bavarian birthday cake. Probably won't measure up to his late wife's but it will be good.
