Cleaning for the Bible Conference.
Tuesday, March 30, 2021
My husband took the pastor's wife to a dental appointment this morning. She called us later to ask us if we would meet her at the church building to clean it for the Bible Conference the church is hosting this Friday evening and Saturday. We went to the building and began cleaning.
I did the Ladies' Room except for mopping the floor and she did the men's room. My husband vacuumed in between the pews. He went to the Fellowship Hall which was built on the back side of a house trailer, and vacuumed there, then we all worked on wiping tables and cutting off strings of yarn, which may have been used to hold balloons to the metal chairs, We took the trash out while the pastor mowed grass.
I was glad to help, but I was worn out by the time I got to the mopping part in the Ladies' Room, and the pastor's wife mopped the floor for me. I sat on a bench in the Ladies' Room and wiped off things while sitting down. I had to kneel to wipe the sides of the toilet bowls and around the back of them and that hurt my kneecaps. I got one stall clean and asked my husband to wipe around the base of the toilet bowl in the other stall, then I finished the bathroom except for mopping the floor.
At home, I sit and rest and try to give myself more than one day to clean each room in our house.
