Still have the milder head pain. Still waiting to talk to a real person at the neurologists.
But... I'm taking small steps now, toward my fitness goals. I can't do a long session of anything or my head will start pounding. But, I can do one set of crunches, or lift small weights, or stretch, or 20 minutes of light walking on the treadmill (too much pollen to go outside for that long, shorter walks required outside!), etc. I started with one short walk. Yesterday I added my 'small steps' strength training. It worked! Yesterday was abs and arms, and I feel it in my abs today!
So, I'm thinking, take it to the next level? Yes, please! I like my small steps way of doing things. I liked that before I was trying to do the 'walk-n-water', getting in my steps and water every day. I since bought this 30 oz cooler cup in a color I love and it goes everywhere with me. I love it and now have no problem getting my water in! I only put plain water in it. Nice and cold. If I want something else, it goes in another container, so that I don't get remnants of that in my cooler cup. I'm getting another one so that I can rotate them. Yay! Different color, of course! Now to work on the walking. The concept will be the same, either step outside and walk around the neighborhood, can't go in one direction, they are roofing two houses and the noise is horrible not to mention the amount of trucks! Or step on the treadmill, for just 10-15 minutes. Do this several times a day, along with getting up and doing more. Move. The goal is to get back to 10K steps!
I'm also thinking of making a walking date with myself for the park three times a week for 30 minutes, or as long as I can without it hurting my head. I have wrap around sunglasses, so the sun is not a problem. I just need to look ahead at the weather and plan them according to how busy my day is and if it will be raining. Lots of rain and storms recently. It will be nice to go to the park. The one I'm thinking of has more shade and trees, but if I don't feel like driving, there is one just around the corner.
Snacking has also become a problem in just the last week. Sigh. I gave the stuff I had gotten for myself to the girls or threw it away. Snacking, for me, is not good. Must stick to my meal plan. So I'm back to logging what I eat. Gotta update my Sparkpage too. I last updated it in February, I think.
It is Spring Break for the girls. We don't plan on going anywhere, other than places around here. Just being chill, letting them sleep in and play games and sleep late. Oh, and probably, if the fish tank levels even out, go get fish for DD13's tank. Right now we are having problems with cloudiness and the ph level. But we put in stuff to solve that, so it should resolve over the next week, hopefully before Friday, so we can get her fish! Otherwise, we will be emptying and refilling a tank over the break... don't want to do that if I don't have to!
Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter, however you spend it!
