Week two, 5% Spring Challenge

The scale moved! My hard work paid off! I lost 2.5 this week and I have myself to thank! No real secret formula...just sheer determination and adherence to my self prescribed program. I haven’t had a drink in a week, so I’m sure that’s a major player here. Plus, I incorporated strength training this week. Very pleased.
This week we are charged to monitor our calcium intake. Something I take seriously. And it’s a nutrient I already know I’m not getting enough of. Women my age should strive for 1200mg/day...I’m lucky if I get half that! I eat Greek yogurt w fruit every morning and then the rest of my calcium intake comes from various other sources. Still not enough. I’ll try adding a glass of milk daily...and if that’s not enough, I’ll take a Tums. I already take a multi-vitamin, so I know there is calcium coming from that.
Today the nation will watch as Queen Elizabeth buries her beloved Prince Phillip. The nation...the world...mourns with her. RIP Prince Phillip.
