April Adventures update

My intention was to be more adventurous this month. So what have I done so far?
I started the month by ordering a ready-cooked meal for Easter Day from a local Polish restaurant - I've not done that before, and it was really good. This led to me having another meal from them the following week, and learning how to day 'thank you very much' in Polish!
I've been trying all sorts of different exercise things on-line - joining live sessions, which I haven't done before. And that has been good too.
I took a bus over to a neighbouring town to meet with my friend, outdoors, for a coffee and chat. That's the first time I've been on public transport for ages. It's busy out now as people have been allowed to come here on holiday (self-catering only officially) and it's busier than it's been for months.
I had a lovely day out with a friend, walking along footpaths to get to a local garden, have coffee, a picnic lunch, and just amble around in the sunshine.
I went back to my volunteer job at the local private library - it was so nice to be WITH people again.
I have been doing some on-line learning with the WEA listening to talks on the myths and legends around apples, the history behind the naming of roses, the story of ancient grains, and the story of our 4 o'clock tea.
I have a ticket to visit a local wildlife sanctuary next week, and might be able to meet up with a friend, who lives nearby, on the same day.
I'm meeting a fellow volunteer for a coffee in the cafe in the park next week.
I've just received some tracing paper, carbon paper, tracing wheels (1 serrated, 1 blunt) to make a start on dressmaking - next job is to order material etc.
I haven't blogged much because these seem such small things, but I thought I'd just give you an idea of what I've been up to.
I have checked my bicycle this morning, and am going to plan a ride out to visit a friend who lives somewhere I can't get to by bus (and too far to walk). That'll be an adventure!
Yesterday I set out to do the local Town Trail - following the route around my town and reading the plaques and the history blurb, but I only managed half of it before I lost my nerve with all the people out and about.
I have several places I want to go to, and things I want to do - and perhaps when the children go back to school (next week) things will calm down a bit.
I'm doing a lateral flow test for Covid every 4 days (current UK initiative - two tests a week free).
I've spent a lot of time doing cross stitch for a community art project - I have some pieces to do which will be added to a lot of other pieces to create an art installation at the local gallery.
Oh, and I've joined the afternoon art group at that gallery - Tea, Cake and Art (only I don't want cake!) which is a new thing for me.
I've done a wide variety of exercise things - Pilates, ballet, dance, indoor walking, hula hoop, rebounder, resistance bands, boot camp type things, yoga, skipping rope even! I'm going to ease myself back into cycling more.
My running took a back seat for a couple of weeks as my knees were complaining. I'm going to go out on Sunday and do a short, gentle, run/walk session to see how I get on.
And another adventure has been seeing the number on the scale go down!
