My Car Has Died...

Yesterday I took my daughter to the Physiotherapy doctor and upon leaving the Health Clinic we thought something sounded wrong with the engine of my little Neon. Felt like to us something was dragging in the front part of the car we were going pretty slow 10 miles a hour. It started making a loud noise. I never had felt it drive in such a way. It was still trying to run when the engine stopped then I tried to turn the key on then nothing was working, not even my brakes as I had to use the emergency brakes. There was Quite a bit of traffic as it happen at rush hour for many of the workers at the hospital. Pulling over to the roadside before getting to the busy intersection, we stopped. It was not about to start again, even though I tried it a couple of times. I suppose it was the starter just trying to start the engine.
Since I don't know much about the workings of a car except for things from my Dad as he loved to work on cars, back when you could work & repair them yourself.
Anyway we had a dear friend, Carolyn come to rescue us from this situation after calling the tow truck. I had been told from our auto repair man, two years age that my car was getting old and needed to be sent to a place for old. cars. It seemed serviceable enough to me, at that time in 2019, but as of yesterday I'm sure it took its last breath. So here it sits in the Auto Shop, who will take a look at it, and I'm pretty sure it will never run again.
