Consistency Doesn't Mean Perfection
Saturday, May 22, 2021
In an ideal world (which doesn't exist) being consistent would mean never, ever slipping up, making a mistake, being lazy, or having short term or long term periods of "not trying". But in the real world, we can be consistent even with all those stumbling blocks, if we just do our best for THAT DAY, or for THAT MOMENT. And when we hit a wall, or have a dry spell, we can always come back again. The more often we are "ideally" consistent, and the less time we spend in the weeds, the less effort and struggle we will face when we climb over, under, around, or through those stumbling blocks to get back to a healthy lifestyle routine. Just remember that life isn't perfect, and neither are we - but we can aim to be better. Our lives are precious, and we only get one. If we treat our bodies like the treasures they are, we may just realize how much better life can be!
