555 blogs

Second entry for today. Silly, I know. But I got to thinking about how sparkpeople is going away, and how the only way to save my blogs (as it is a journal) is to painstakingly copy and paste each one somewhere else. That's lame! I looked, and there are 27 pages of blogs - with 15 per page, which is 555 (now 556, hahaha) blogs. Granted, that's starting way back in '08, so I've got multiple journeys in there. But dang! That is a lot of blogging.

As I was copying and pasting, I wondered if I should also copy the comments. I mean, sure, there are a lot of "You've got this" type comments that wouldn't necessarily need to be copied. But there are also interactions with my sparkfriends from back then... some of which are nice. I'd copied two pages (AKA 30 entries) before I thought about this. Hmmm. I'd have to re-do all the work I've just done. That might suck hard. But, I think it might be good to have some of that to look back at in the future?

Oh, Heidi, I'm so sad that Spark People as we know it will be no more. Like you, I started this journey back in 2008. A lot has happened in that time! And we've been through most of it together. You were one of the Spark Friends I made back in the day that I now consider my real life friend as well. I'm so thankful we can keep in touch through Facebook, but really, it's just not the same. Why does nothing ever stay the same?

On another note, I somehow got unsubscribed to your blog. I had no idea you've been actively blogging, but now I'm going to have to go back and catch up on that as well. (More comments that you'll agonize over whether to copy or not, haha.)

I'd just copy your blogs and going forward if you see a comment you like, keep it.
