A1C is DOWN!

I've been off track (partly) for over a week now. One of my favorite people in the entire world is visiting me from Michigan and my food choices haven't been ideal. I have been more active though and have not given up on continuing to make better, healthier choices for myself.
The hubby is coming home early and I will be picking him up at the airport next week. I'll have just 3 days between when my bestie goes back to Michigan and when my hubby gets home to try and get everything the way I want it at home. With the animals and kitchen remodel, there is never a shortage of things to do, lol.
As one nice surprise, I got 2 rocking chairs yesterday that I'm working with my friend to build for our back patio. We have chairs back there now, but they are tiny, metal, and are almost big enough to support a preteen girl. I sent the hubby a picture of the first one, but he doesn't know I got us both one.
The highlight of my day though is when I got the email letting me know that the results of my blood test from yesterday morning came back. This was the first test since I started Metformin back in March. My A1c is down from 10.8 (I had no problems, but the nurse that called to tell me was almost in a panic) to 6.2. AMAZING!!! I give credit to the meds, but more importantly, my healthier food choices. I'm not really off track, but do need to get things dialed in better. Having my kitchen dismantled doesn't help, but it will be coming back together soon.
Onward and upward!!!
