Friday, and back in the swamp, hot and humid.

Friday, June 18, 2021

Well, here it is Friday again. Nothing special going on here. It just make be a quite day here, I have decided not to spend anymore time water that darn garden. It is the worst I have ever had, Even watering things and the little rain we had on Wed. evening it still continues to look horrible. It does seem the only things that look half way decent out there is the zucchini, and the beets, but stay also don't look the best, but at least they are growing. The tomatoes that I so hoped would be abundant this year, I don't think will make it much longer, they are only about a foot tall and are just all twisted up and very few leaves, they actually look like they were sprayed. And the beans, well, half of them are already dead, and the rest don't look much better, even with all the water and fertilizer I put on them. Oh well, the grocery store is full of food, but fresh out of your own garden can't be beat.

I am so at a cross road on what to do when SP shut down in Aug. Right now I am about ready to just toss in the towel, and give this stuff all up. Sparks360, has a few things that I don't care for at all, and My Fitness Pal, is also a little iffy. I also wonder about the safety of these programs, I have been hacked once, and it is not fun, so going to new programs, and new people really stress me out. So I really am considering just keeping in touch with some of you just thru emails. I will let you know sometime before Aug 17th.

Hope you all are having a
GET day and stay safe.

We're friends on Facebook, I hope we can keep in touch that way. I'm getting more and more involved in Facebook which I never did before. I only used Facebook to play some games from time to time.

Sorry about your garden. You think the weather with all the up and downs we had this year has done on a number on them? Or maybe the soil needs some sweetening? I know my Dad who always and I mean always had a great garden each fall would treat the soil with lime. All the plants would be rototilled back in the ground and then he would broadcast lime all throughout the garden. The only thing he could not grow was Canadian peaches. Never had any luck with those peach trees.

If the garden isn't good this year, maybe the root vegetables, like potatoes and carrots will be good.

totally understand Sorry your garden is having issues. I have a few flowers that I have in pots all moved to the porch for ease in watering and to keep then out of direct sun for most of the day.
At 10:30 tonight it is 97.3. The pool was up to 88 which felt nice, but the air was so hot I could only stay in for 40 min. That is with my being up to my neck in the water, big brim hat , sun glasses and sun screen.

It rained last night, and the garden looks pretty decent. Have not begun to think about what I'll be doing next. If I find something terrific, I'll let you know.

Hi Linda, I hear your frustration. I just keep plugging along here and haven't even looked at other sites yet. Like you, there's a concern about security since some require your full name and location.
Our weather has been dry, sunny, warm (hot!) and breezy. The lawn is starting to brown out but we don't water, ever. The garden actually looks very good as most things were mulched after the last little rain we had. Husband plans to run a hose out from our rainwater tanks to water soon, probably this evening.
Take care of yourself, and try not to stress! emoticon

I watered this morning but had to water again when we got back from the store - my poor plants look pretty weak.

I feel the same. A 2 month goodbye is too long. I'm helping my teams find new homes, am winding things down, and am saving things in order to start shutting down my sparkpage so I won't have time to read blogs much any more. Good luck to you in the future. I hope to see you when the dust settles. Hugs.
