Water Water Everywhere

I had an appointment with the dietitian yesterday, apparently the 8 cups of water I drink (Or try to. Sometimes.) isn't anywhere near enough. She told me I should be drinking 13 cups a day!!! Really!?! That's like 3 liters of water a day!
I have really (really) tried to drink all 13 today, but I have to say... that's a lot of water!! I have been RUNNING to the bathroom on a regular basis ALL DAY! People are going to think that I have a problem! And I've only reached the 3/4 mark, I'm not even done!
I know how much better I feel when I drink all my water. (Or what I thought was all my water!) My headaches are gone, my skin looks better, I think it helps to curb my appetite, and I just feel better in general. But I have to wonder: Can you have too much of a good thing?
It's too soon to tell. I know that the amount of water I had before made me feel and look better, but isn't there a point when the benefits will reach their peak? (This question is rhetorical as I was an Economics major in college and there is a whole chapter on diminishing returns and consumer satisfaction. Kinda like one ice cream cone is good, two are great, three and your in heaven, but four and your going to be sick.) I guess what I am trying to figure out is if running to the bathroom every half hour and is worth it and I wonder if there are any other downsides I haven't yet discovered.
Maybe I'm just being a bit paranoid and it really isn't as bad as seems. Uh-oh..... gotta go..... my bladder is full again!
