Perfect Spaghetti Squash...I love spaghetti squash, but I experimented & found a way to get the strands to come out the long length. I cut the ends off...then cut the squash into approx. 2" thick RINGS. Scrape the seeds out & place in microwave w/a few tablespoons of water. Cover & cook till just starting to get tender, but still hard. Spray foil-covered cookie sheet w/Olive Oil non-stick spray. Then place squash on foil & spray w/olive oil spray. Season w/favorite seasoning (I use no-salt Organic Costco seasoning). Cover loosely w/foil & bake at 375 degrees til almost tender...uncover & bake til slightly browned. Cool a few mins. Your strands will come out in long pieces.

Cut in half; scoop out seeds. Place in microwaveable dish with about 1/2 inch of water. Plastic wrap. Microwave about 15 minutes or until very soft when squished (use potholder!). Let cool a little. Shred the noodles. Serve with spaghetti sauce. Yum!!

I cook at 350 for an hour. I put the whole thing in a baking dish with a little water. I turn off the oven and let it cool down for several hours.

Then I cut it in half, scoop out the seeds and use a serving fork to scratch out the strands.

Love it with sugar free spaghetti sauce with added mushrooms and sweet italian sausage.

I cut off the stem end, poke a few holes in it and nuke it. About 15 minutes does it in my microwave. Then I let it cool before I cut it in half and seed it. Separate the strands with a fork into a sieve and drain it well. Then it is ready to use in anything. My favorite is a "spaghetti" salad subbing the squash for the spaghetti.

Maybe. I cut it, scoop the seeds, brush with olive oil and season and lay it open side down. I add a little water to the pan and bake at 375 for about an hour. It usually turns out pretty good

Who has had luck with this guy? I like it, but I never manage to get distinct strands. It's basically just normal squash. When I pull it with a fork it looks like strands, but they clump together. Am I overcooking it?
