My husband and I do not drink milk. When needed for a recipe though I will buy a carton, use what I need then freeze the remainder in 1/2 cup portions in Ziplock bags. When the milk start to freeze lay the bag on it's side so you can stack it.
Thaw at room temp then shake the bag as the fat will have separated.
