I found this recipe - haven't tried it yet but avocado and bacon is a marriage made in heaven:

The Best Way Ta Save Time & Money: Buy them when on sale/ripe!

Mash Plain with Lime Juice or as Guacamole {I listed a simple recipe above} and then FREEZE in Portion Control Batches! emoticon

For a gathering/lunch/or just supper: Do Not Make until ready for it. Use the lime juice, cover and place in the coldest section of your fridge until it's time ta serve.

Any food or drink, even water, can be harmful if too much is consumed. But folks have been eating avocados regularly for centuries or more. Faddists, food cults, folk medicine, advertisers, authors, natural medicine fringe, and others need to be taken with more than a grain of salt. There is a lot of bad information out there.

Human beings are omnivores; we are not merely herbivores, fruitivores, carnivores. Yes we are frugivores, meaning we can eat and process fruit but that doesn't mean we can get all of our nutritional needs doing so.



I'm not even near perfect, but I know someone who is.

I use lemon juice, I just put some avocados in the freezer.

We usually use half a time- what's worked best for me (and is easy) is to just leave the pit in the unused half, add a little lemon juice, and then put the emptied half shell back over the top. I do have a special avocado holder that's supposed to prevent air from getting in, but I find this works better and is much simpler! Keeps it quite green the next day, after a couple days there may be a few spots of browning (usually along the edges).

If it's prepared/mashed/guac/etc, I know people who swear by storing it with a layer of water on top. I just avoid the issue by only making as much as we need for each meal.

Healthy choices and actions have positive impacts, even if the scale doesn't move!
