I eat low carb, too, and I am rarely hungry.
I drink a lot of water nowadays. I'm a retired teacher and couldn't use the RR whenever, so I didn't drink much water all those years except when summer break happened. My doctor said he will write teachers excuse notes so that they HAVE to be allowed to use the RR when nature calls.

JUSTLIKEMELLIE8,

As James noted, some times hunger isn't hunger, but thirst. Do make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids like water or tea.

Also, did your cut your calorie intake drastically recently ? When most people decide they need to lose weight, they are almost always in a panic. All they want to know is what's the fastest way to lose weight ? Why cutting my calories ! Well, if a person cuts their calorie intake too low too fast when they start out, that will lead cause them to be hungry.

Instead, a person should slowly decrease their calorie intake so that their body has more time to adapt to the change.

And I agree with James, one thing you can do to help reduce hunger is to make sure you're eating plenty of servings of fresh fruit and veggies. Fruit and veggies have FIBER. Fiber helps us stay full for longer as well as keep our blood sugar levels stable. When our blood sugar fluctuates, we end up with cravings and usually for junk or comfort food.

Eats lots of leafy greens can help.

JUSTLIKEMELLIE8,
yes, sometimes the body confuses thirst with hunger. That is a possibility too.

I myself eat keto (very very low carb, like 25 grams of carbs a day). It sounds almost impossible given that a single piece of toast has about that. What I don't eat is:
- bread
- pasta
- rice
- ...

What I do eat is:
- any meat
- colourful veggies
- cheese
- eggs

The reason I do so is to keep my blood sugar in better control because I'm a type-2 diabetic. But one thing eating high carb things does is raise blood sugar and one way or another that impacts hunger. So not eating things with carbs keeps my hunger very even, though I do it for blood sugar reasons, not hunger reasons.

Thank you all for your responses! I think it might be PMS, but I have been drinking more water and drinking green tea to help suppress my appetite a bit. So far, so good. Thank you all again :)

Apart from the comments already given, some people notice a change in appetite with the change of season. Sometimes, as one goes into a colder season they get hungrier. Just a thought.

Another thought is - are you doing more physically than you usually do, but haven't increased your calories?

And again - have you recently be put on any medication? Sometimes our appetite increases when this happens because for some meds it can be a side effect of them.

BETHS60,
I so agree with you on both nutrition and possible thirst.

I think people keep eating potato chips because their inner primitive self keeps thinking that the next bite will have nutrition, ... and it doesn't, so maybe the next one ...

You will always be hungry if
1) you don't get enough nutrients. There are bunches of nutrients that are mostly available from foods like leafy greens or orange vegetables. So in addition to making sure you are getting enough healthy fats and proteins (which are known to keep you from being hungry), make sure that you get enough vegetables.
2) you feel deprived. Are you eating food that satisfies you?

And there may be other reasons you feel hungry. Is it real hunger? Or is it something else you need? Sometimes it's thirst. Sometimes it's boredom. It could be so many things.

When you eat, what do you eat? Real food?
- meat
- veggies
- grains (I don't eat grains, but you might)

Or are you eating more processing things?
- breakfast cereal
- sugar
- pastries

What you eat to satisfy your hunger can actually drive it too if it isn't real food.

Are you eating too little?
That is as counterproductive as too much.

Have you been very active the past couple of weeks ? Have you been under a lot of stress at home or work ? There are lots of legitimate reasons our appetites can increase.

Are you craving junk food ? If you find yourself craving junk or sweets, have you been eating enough healthy food these past two weeks ? If you're not eating enough healthy food, you may turn to fast food for something quick.

What's been going recently ? What's changed that maybe effected your appetite ?
