@ James

1800 calories/day could mean different things to different people. That is about what I need to maintain my weight IF I am active and exercising regularly! No way could I lose weight at that amount (assuming the OP has a goal to lose weight, which I don't know for a fact.)

As for the occasional day when you're not as hungry - because it's hot and sticky - I'd say just go with it. Your daily calorie goal is an average, and chances are another day in the same week you'll go over by 300-400 so it all comes out about right.

LIFEUNDERTREES,
I eat Keto, which is very low carb, just enough protein, and a lot of fat.

One thing I have to say about fat is that it takes a longer time to digest and keeps my energy level a lot more even.

I agree with the others is that I think your calorie level is too low. My opinion is that I'd not go below about 1800 a day.

What I suggest as a late evening snack is cheese. More fat, not many carbs and will maybe keep you less hungry for longer.

Thanks, guys! I opted to eat some yogurt as an evening snack just to boost my calorie count and ensure that I didn’t wake up at midnight hungry and go rampaging through the kitchen!

NOT feeling hungry is pretty darn unusual for me, so I don’t think I’ll encounter the problem too often! 😆

I know it's a day late now, but in my opinion, as long as this is only a once in a while type feeling, just go with it. I don't eat just for the sake of eating. When it's hot and sticky, just be sure to be hydrated. Good luck!

960 calories? That is really low. SP recommends a minimum of 1200 for women and 1500 for men. So, no wonder you are hungry. You aren't eating enough if 960 calories is accurate

I’m a girl who loves to eat and feels hungry...a lot.
Except when it gets hot. We don’t have A\C and I’m hot sticky days like today sometimes I just lose my appetite entirely.
Part of me feels like I should run with it! Don’t eat if I’m not hungry!
The other part knows that I should develop the habit of eating regularly and taking in a minimum amount of calories.
I’ve had 960 calories today, ending with a shrimp taco (home made) around 7pm. It’s 9:30 now. Is that enough for the night? Or should I go eat a little something?
I’m not sure what to do.
