WOW!!! What a day!! This morning my GD & I got an early start. We dug up 2 baby trees in my yard. Took one of them to my mom's. I bought my mom a rose bush & a lemon tree. And we planted all 3 plants. That was my mother's day gift to my mom. I feel good. I feel like we accomplish something today.

The bonsai tree that my son gave me--I seen a picture of it with its flowers. So pretty I can't wait. It suppose to have them now but I may have to wait until next year. It's suppose to bloom in the 5th month.

I lost one pound this week.

Yesterday steps: 6903
today's fitness recumbent bike 15 minutes and planting trees. I gave myself 30 minutes but probably longer than that since we were at it for 3.5 hours. I guess I'll call it ST since I was using a pick and shovel.

It was warm and sunny today. Warmer than I prefer.

I put up netting on my front porch today. Hopefully That will keep direct sunlight from my new plant.

It's been a good day!!!

Hi everybody!!! I've been a busy little beaver today. Started out really lazy but I got up off of my duff and managed to do my exercise bike + my Bible readings.. When I got done with that I decided to go shopping. I went to home depot and bought my mother a lemon tree & a rose bush. My granddaughter is going to help me dig up a tree in my yard and we are going to take all 3 to my mom's and plant all 3.. that will be her mother's day present. I also bought me 10 snapdragons & a rose bush. Plus when we dig up mom's tree (there's 2) I'll put the other one in a pot and plant it next year in my yard. The grandkids and their dogs will be gone by the end of the year-- so it will be safe to plant it in my yard. Their dogs have totally destroyed my yard. Plus damages to my house. I'll miss the kids but I'm glad their dogs will be gone!!!

Mother's day we are going to BBQ chicken legs. Mom's making a potato salad & I'm cooking a pot of beans for Sunday. Every Sunday we have family lunch.

Yesterday 10K plus steps. Today I forgot to put my pedometer on until 10am. So it's missing steps. Oh well! I've been staying on goal with my fitness.

Last night... me bad.... I started snacking around 8pm. Ate nuts, chocolate, cheese. It seems like i get so tired and then I eat. And yes I keep drinking water to try to stop me.

I put cumin, chili powder, cilantro in my beans and they smell so good cooking.

I order some slip on shoes from woman within. When I was placing the order it said they were in stock but when they emailed my confirmation letter it says backorder and will ship may 20. So I'm a little unhappy about that. They are suppose to have support. I hope so. They cost $75 and that's on sale.

I was going to cut my hair the beginning of the year. But I keep talking myself out of it. My hair is down to waist. I keep thinking about a long shag but it is such a hassle to grow back out and to be honest it doesn't really look different than my long straight hair. But I keep thinking about it!!!

Have a great day!!! And remember we can do this!!!!.

Hey Hey Hey! Been a great day so far. It's 930am and doing good.
Fasting glucose 97, yesterday 93, Saturday 96 ALL below 100 emoticon
I think I will chart fasting glucose for 7 days and see if it stays below 100. So that's my goal for this week. This is diet controlled.

Went for walk. Did 1.83 miles!! My longest walk so far. Made my fitness goal of 45 min today. (did 50) My walk was a little faster. mile in 27:14 Last time it was 28 something. And there was a 29 one too. So getting better and faster!

Bed made, dishes done, vacuuming done.

Today's reading Judges 8. Psalm 42, and 1CO 15. I really enjoyed 1Corinthians15 It was a good reminder. Verse 22 Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam , everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. 23) But there is an order to this resurrection. Christ was raised as the first of the harvest, then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.

Today's Menu
Breakfast: pancakes, berries, and a dab of whip topping
Chicken mushroom soup and veggies.
mac & cheese & veggies.

It turned out that the water leak was under the sidewalk in the back yard. So that's an extra 500. My mom is so upset she's not feeling good. I told her I would pay for our vacation since she has all of this money going out. We plan to go on the train ride from williams, az to grand canyon. So that one day trip will cost me about 1,000. It was either pay for it or she wasn't going. I didn't really want to cancel. Been cooped up too long.

Keoni & I headed out on our walk but I had to stop at my mom's and then we decided to go to breakfast. So we got in 0.76 miles but that's ok. I had the veggie skillet at Denny's. I like it. It's 390 calories but I think SP has the sodium level wrong. It's potatoes, broccoli, onions, mushrooms, and egg whites. There may be sodium in the egg whites and canned mushrooms but the rest wouldn't have any. So I hope it's not 1300 sodium. Anyhow I like this breakfast.

I still need to plan my menu for this week. I'll work on that today. I need to do my Bible lessons, probably should vacuum, put dishes in the dish washer.

A lot has been going on. Yesterday the water meter reader knock on my mom's door and told her she must have a leak. She has used 20,000 gallons of water since last month. So we checked the walls, floors & carpets, under sinks, behind washer-- can't find a leak. And the yard isn't showing any wet areas. We called a plumber and he got there yesterday evening. He found the leak -it is where the water line meets the water pipe for the house. Anyhow he'll be back to fix it today. $626. So the next thing is I'll get ahold of the water company and see if they'll give me a discount on our water bill.

Yesterday wasn't a good eating day for me. I couldn't get rid of the hungry's. I ended up eating mash potatoes and roast beef. That took away the growling tummy. My glucose was still good even with all that extra food. Hopefully it didn't affect my weight loss.

Yesterday I made some raisin bran muffins. They're less than 132 calories each. My granddaughter doesn't like them. she says they are to bland.

we have a forest fire going. It's burned over 1,000 acres. I don't know how many homes have been burned. We have a lot of wind. It started rainy yesterday. Not a lot but some. The air smells like burnt rubber or electrical. It's cold out. It's 49 right now. Yesterday it got up to 55. And a few days ago we were 80.

Have a great day... I have to take off. Going to Walmart. That's the only place we have to shop here.

I was going to check in this morning. But that never happened.

Today went good. This morning I went to my mom's and help with her yard --now that's done. Cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed the dining room and living room. I was busy most of the morning. This afternoon we took her dogs to the groomer. this evening we went to walmart. I'm home now for the night.

today's menu
brkft.... breakfast sandwich
asparagus
apple
orange

Lunch
BBQ chicken melt
brussels sprouts

dinner
honey garlic butter chicken
Asparagus

total calories 802

still plan to have a snack. I deleted my planned snack. I think I'll have yogurt & berries.

The weather has been great today.

I lost 2.2lbs. Down 43lbs since Jan. WooHoo!!

Tomorrow's plan...... Bible study with granddaughter from 9-11
Day of rest tomorrow

Menu....
Bran flakes, protein shake

Wellness wrap, fatfree cream cheese, unsalted trail mix & a salad

Meat loaf , broccoli, spag squash

snack::::refried beans, sweet potato tortilla chips, 2% cheddar cheese...

total calories 1056

I like leaving my food plan with a few extra calories to use. That if I crave a piece of cheese at 9pm I can have it or any other snack.

That's about it. Won't be stopping in tomorrow. Be back Sunday

Today has been a good day. My CT on my lungs is good. My pulmonary test I did last month was an improvement from last year. So my lungs are getting better. My A1C is 5.6 Last November it was 7.1. I'm happy about that!!

Tomorrow is my weigh in day. It should be down a couple of pounds.

Today I made a new snack. I air popped some popcorn and put chili seasoning on it and added salt free trail mix to it. Appx 100 calories per serving. That was my snack today.

Todays' menu:
Breakfast... veggie egg white scramble. High fiber wrap. 228 calories
Lunch.... Salad w/hard boiled egg & 2% cheddar & cracker.... 281 calories
Snack .... chili popcorn w/trail mix 100 calories
Dinner.... Salmon, cauliflower & sweet potato rice, brussels sprouts, High fiber wrap.... 299
Snack 2..... Graham cracker w/fat free cream cheese. 89 calories

Fitness... 30 minutes on recumbent bike. (it went by pretty quick--- I didn't want to do it today--I did while I was doing my Bible reading)

3 good things.... My A1C has improved. 5.6 almost normal
My breathing test improved.. Lungs are getting better
Lungs CT scan good

Yesterday I went on the nutrition tracker and listed the foods I plan to eat through Sunday. It's a good way to plan your menu. This way you have calories and nutrients calculated for you. Now all I have to do is follow the plan.

I'm still having a problem with snacking after dinner. I'm not going over my calories (which is good) but I would prefer to feel like I have more control.

This morning Keoni & I went for our walk. Yesterday I was having problem with riding the recumbent bike. I only did 15 min. And it took me all day to do that. So I decided it was time to go for a walk. Thats 30 min of exercise done today!

Yesterday I had my blood drawn and they stuck me 5 times. 3 different techs.

Everyday I am suppose to list 3 good things and I'm not doing very good at this goal. Yesterday the sun was out, I made my menu through Sunday, I got a lot accomplished.

Well today is off to a good start.

4/15/21 How did I get here? Wow! What a question. 2018 I was doing really good. I went from 275 to 179.8. And here I am at 255.6 but Jan 2021 I was up to 293. So here I go again. Last time I couldn't lose any more weight. And I got frustrated and gave up. Boy am I paying for that. I have to watch my carbs now. I became diabetic but looks like I can control is by diet. My numbers have been really great. I hope my A1C that will be done on the 20th has improved. I went from 7.1 to 6.5 and I'm hoping this time it will be a whole lot lower, I don't want to go on medication.

I ask God everyday to give me the strength and will power to follow in his footsteps and improve my health. Please God forgive me and don't let me continue sinning.
