TONYABREW - If Runkeeper sends us data for an account, we will still post it. But, no one new can connect Runkeeper to SparkPeople. Sorry about the duplication it sounds like you have now. Since Runkeeper has been so iffy with sending data to us, you might want to go ahead and disconnect it from SparkPeople now if you are using Google Fit.

So now it looks like Runkeeper is working again? I switched over to Google Fit, but I guess I didn't turn Runkeeper off and now I have a bunch of repeats.

Oh no! This saddens me also. Runkeeper is the only app that would sync with both Sparkpeople and my employer's health program so I could use it to track everything. I am sad to see it go. emoticon

Thank you for the update. This saddens me greatly. I understand the need to consolidate operations. I will TREMENDOUSLY miss syncing Runkeeper with Sparkpeople.

Hi @BLOND1E - I am sorry to tell you that we are removing support for Runkeeper. Our small team does not have time to work on that connection; therefore, the decision was made to remove it. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We still connect with FitBit, Misfit, Garmin, Google Fit, and Apple Health in case any of those are options for you.

I am having problems with Runkeeper not syncing again. I put in a support ticket with them and they state the problem is with Sparkpeople. I would hate to change running apps. Is it just Runkeeper that is this problematic, or do all integrated apps have this problem from time to time? This is now the third time this year that I have had problems with Runkeeper syncing and it has not synced for a few weeks for me. Is there another app that works better?

Hi ALOVEBEAM,

I am sorry to hear that. I checked on a few Runkeeper users and can see theirs has synced data to us today. But, I am not seeing anything for your account. You might want to try Reauthorizing it to see if that helps.

Yes, you are right about it being a general problem with Runkeeper, not just for their connection with SparkPeople. Hoping they get it fixed soon.

Thanks! It was funny, it synced for about 3 days last week and now it's suddenly not working again. I think they're having problems in general because the Runkeeper Pocket Track feature is also not working.

Hi BLOND1E,

It looks like there is a problem on the Runkeeper side of things. We are not receiving data for other Runkeeper members either and when I check the connection, I get error messages from Runkeeper. Hopefully, they will get things up and running again soon. Until then, I'm sorry to say there is nothing we can do from this end.

Hi CYNTHIAGIBAS - Since a couple other members are reporting similar issues, it looks like Runkeeper may not be sending all data over to us in a timely manner. Your account set up looks good and I can see our system is reaching your account data at Runkeeper--we just are not receiving any workout/fitness info from them for you yet. One thing you can do is check on their website to be sure your data is showing there. We receive data from their backend system, not directly from your device so it has to sync to their system before then sync it over to us.

Hi Blond1e! Our system shows you reconnected Runkeeper to SparkPeople on 4/19, and we received data from them on that date as well as on the 21st & 22nd. Does it seem to be working okay for you now? If you have data for later dates, Runkeeper has not sent it to us yet. It could just be that they are being slow in syncing it over to us.

Sorry I do not have a better answer for you at this time; but, it seems to be working as long as we receive the data. If your data does not update within the next couple days, please let me know and I will take another look to be sure the process is still working well on this end.

I am also having this problem. Runkeeper knows I linked Sparkpeople, Sparkpeople seems to know I have linked Runkeeper. The permissions look correct. But none of my Runkeeper activities are syncing here. I have unconnected and reconnected a couple of times and it does not seem to matter.

I've had Runkeeper connected to my account for years now. It just stopped syncing a few weeks ago. I've clicked on the Reauthorize several times, and I get prompted to login to Runkeeper, but not prompted to allow/grant permissions. Sparkpeople shows that I'm connected to Runkeeper and Runkeeper shows that I'm connected to Sparkpeople.

Hi BLOND1E,

I checked your account and we do not have a Runkeeper ID on it, which should have populated when you connected Runkeeper to SparkPeople. Please go to this page ( www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/connect-your-d
evice.asp
) and click the Reauthorize button for Runkeeper on that page. Be sure you allow/grant any permissions requested.

Hopefully, that will get things syncing for you. Let me know how it goes.

I must be doing something wrong. It used to sync, but now it does not. What do I need to do for run keeper to auto since with my spark?
