I have to cut it out; I'm having bariatric surgery in a couple months. i've quit using cream, which makes a big difference in how much I drink. I suck it down more with cream. I had to bite the bullet and learn to drink it black. Now I don't drink as much; I'm down to 2 cups a day. In a week or so, I'll go to 1 cup. I'm going to get some good caffeine free coffee.
Good luck; if I didn't have the surgery coming up, I prolly wouldn't be as motivated.

I weaned myself off of the sugar and creme gradually. Today it's black with cinnamon.
I find that even a little sugar makes me want more. Maybe try substituting artificial sweetener for the sugar first, and gradually reduce the creme. Or keep the creme and experiment with other ways to sweeten. Stevia has a different flavor than sweet & low or Equal for example. Small changes!
I drink 2-3 cups of black coffee each day (12 ounces each cup) because it's incredibly healthy...
Not so much for my health but my coworkers! LOLOLOL
I do find that I don't have any ill effects from drinking it (as long as I stop before 4:00 pm - consequence of not being in my 20s anymore ) and it does wonders to help prevent food cravings during the day.

Day one for me has gone well. It was 1pm yesterday afternoon that I had my last coffee ever. It is now 7.50pm at night and so far so good.
They save coffee is good for your liver well so is milk thistle.
One minute coffee is good for you one minute it's not according to the news (or fake news as my 25 year old adult likes to call it). I often wonder with it being great one minute and bad the next by the news and so called professionals etc... is it all money related perhaps. Food for thought anyhow.
For me i'm just happy to avoid it.
But each to their own if you wish to enjoy a morning coffee go for it! Enjoy it!
I've given up coffee before had extreme headaches and extreme body aches and pains. Quit Cold turkey. For about 2 weeks I had the aches and pains and headaches.
Quit for about 6 months then thought when I was out once that I could have 1 cup no issues. I suddenly now have up to 3 coffees every day. never have sugar and do have only organic full cream milk in my coffee. Prefer to stay away from artificial sweeteners as they are worse for your health than sugar lol something that's hard to believe but very TRUE!
I Intend giving up coffee again from now. Had my last cup at 1pm today.
I'm giving it up this time for good as I've done more re-search and realised how much better I'll be without it. It's usually socially that I have the issue.
But as I get older (53 years old now) health get's more important to me. It was always important and I've always eaten organic, non GMO etc...and grow our own vegetables and herbs etc...
I think it would be good for anyone to give it up really. It's not like it has any real benefit that I can see. (I'm not one for believing the media as they say it's good for you one minute bad the next with many things lol)
My honest opinion is just give it up totally and for me it'll be cold turkey.
I have cut way back on coffee because I have to add lots of creamer and sweetener to it, and I want to avoid those extra calories. I've replaced it with flavored hot teas. There are tons of choices, with or without caffeine, I don't have to add anything to it, and drinking it just makes me feel healthier than when I drink coffee.
I switched to decaf first then slowly went to drinking herbal teas. This seems to work for me.

I am a coffee aficionado. I keep my coffee maker clean and I brew and drink my coffee pure and black. I have a Gaggia (Baby) coffee machine for about 15 years and it just works, it takes no time to get your coffee in the morning and it is always exceptional, lots of crema and two cups at a time. Now looking for new one cozzy machine with grinder cozzy.org/best-coffee-maker-with-grinder/ The major issue is coffee often interferes with my circadian cycle. I have trouble sleeping and I always end up super horny. Also, coffee contributes to staining of teeth.
I'm trying but haven't succeeded quite yet. Tomorrow is a new day and bought some Teeccino chicory to help with coffee cravings. Its tasty and the closest thing to coffee without the coffee. It also has prebiotics and is naturally caffeine free.
